San Remo and neighbouring Silver Sands are inner northern coastal suburbs of Mandurah, which were gazetted in 1989. Both suburbs were named after developer estates, which entered into popular local usage. San Remo Beach is the site of the Mandurah Surf Life Saving Club. The beach extends from the northern Wade Street groyne, where it is called Watersun Beach. There is good access at the central car park, which has a picnic area, playground and toilets.
