Dawesville is the southernmost suburb of Mandurah, located adjacent to the Peel-Harvey Estuary with the Dawesville Cut serving as the boundary with Wannanup.  Outdoor attractions revolve around the estuary and beaches, offering fishing, canoeing, jet-ski and water-skiing. Pyramids Beach is popular and currently undergoing development to make it a popular surf spot for day-trippers and tourists. Dawesville is named after Louis Dawe who was involved in the local fish canning industry in the early 1900s. In 1913 Dawe built the heritage listed "Allandale Homestead" which overlooks the estuary.
